linXfeed – Turn Your Links Into RSS-Feed!

What Is linXfeed?

linXfeed is a tool which converts your list of links into RSS-feed.
It perfectly fits for using in pair with twindeXator, but not only.

Why Do I Need It?

If you get a long list of links, of course you can create a new Tweets task and to post all of them within one task, no matter how much time this takes.

But in many cases you’d want to prolong this posting for a long time, maybe or days, and to post the links by small chunks.

How linXfeed Works?

linXfeed takes your list of links, mixes to them news headers like twiXer does and converts it into RSS-feed.
You take this feed’s address and enter it into twindeXator.
Now you forget about them, your work is done!
Every certain period of time new items from the original list appear in the feed.
twindeXator automatically grabs these new items and posts them to Twitter.
You saved a lot of time -> Profit!

Hosting Requirements

linXfeed can run on almost every server, even on most of shared hostings. You need only PHP5 and CURL installed.
Unlike twiXer, it can’t work on your localhost, unless you can figure out how to keep constant feed url. We can’t provide any help in this issue.

Installation

Unzip the archive
Upload linXfeed folder to your server
chmod /config folder 777
Point your browser to linXfeed folder

How To Work With linXfeed

1. Insert your links list

linXfeed works with two types of input items: ready tweets (url + text) and bare links.

Ready tweets will be outputted to the feed as is, and bare links will be mashupped to ready tweets as twiXer makes.

2. Choose the settings for the feed

3. Hit Submit

Now followed processes are performed:

Links are being mashupped with news headlines into ready tweets (the same algorithm as in twiXer).
If you entered both tweets and links, their order is shuffled.
Feed being created.

4. Here comes the Feed

Now the feed appeared in the list.

Every chosen period of time the new items will appear in the feed.

5. Grab the Feed

Copy the feed URL. Then go to twindeXator and paste the feed URL in the new scheduled task.

6. Lean Back And Enjoy

You’re finish then!

The whole bunch of your links is filled into linXfeed.
Every hour linXfeed spits out new ready tweets.
